Physochlaina physaloides
Kot

Another great plant! Does it go dormant in late summer like Scopolia?

Also  sometimes seen  called  Hyoscyamus physaloides

For those not familiar with the names, besides being very beautiful these plants contain powerful alkaloids (like many Solanaceae). They are used for medicinal purposes; in older times they were associated with other 'practices' as well.

Hello Gabriela
Hyoscyamus, Scopolia, Physochlaina belong to the family Solanaceae, and are toxic. There are also relatives of tomato, potato, eggplant, Physalis peruviana itd..

My passion is breeding plants from seeds. If you have a collection of interesting species and varieties of Adonis, Eranthis, Pulsatilla, Helleborus, hepatica, collect them for me. Reciprocate the seeds and plants. Only fresh seeds after harvest.
