** VENUE**:Kincardine Community Centre Anderson Lane, Kincardine Fife, FK10 4SF
LOCATION: Cross Kincardine bridge, turn left into village, turn left at traffic lights and then sharp right into Kirk Street, immediately turn right into Anderson lane, the gate for the community centre is facing you. Extra parking is available just off the nearby Kirk Street.

News from Kincardine - Forrest medal has been won by Cyril Lafong with, I think, a Pulsatilla vernalis.
"Most Points in Section I"   went to Stan Da Prato.

 New trophy, in honour of Glassford Sprunt - ( for best plant in a 19cm pot?)also won by
 Cyril  for pale form of  Crocus cvijicii - or should that be Crocus jablanicensis ?

...................indeed yes. The first thing to greet exhibitors in the car park was a somewhat  disconcerting van . However things  were much nicer inside. Cyril's superb three pan entry included the Forrest medal Pulsatilla which was also the best European plant as well as a merit certificate winning trillium. Glassford's new trophy was won by  Cyril's Crocus Cream of Cream in a very good small six pan entry. Show goers were all delighted that hard working secretary Sam Sutherland won the Spiller trophy  for best primula with P. Mary Berry. Your correspondent was pleasantly surprised to receive  a merit cert for an Andromeda which  was also given the  best non European plant  trophy. I also received  the trophy for most points  due to bringing   most plants. Sue Simpson  brought some excellent plants to win section 2 and a merit cert. for a fine Pulsatilla. On a quick count the open section had 241 plants from 148 entries. Section 2 had 26 plants from 17 entries.
