Hyacinthus 2014
« on: April 07, 2014, 09:26:58 PM »
These were grown from seed offered as Hyacinthus orientalis ssp. chinophylus.
These plants are different from each other in the flower form and they do have the wider leaves than ssp. orientalis but they do not have the spotted lower stems that ssp. chiniphylus is supposed to have as described in Peter Sheasby's book Bulbus Plants of Turkey and Iran.

can anyone offer any help? are these ssp. orientalis or a hybrid?
