WE opened our garde to the local East Lancs. AGS Group yesterday. It was a lousy day, which followed a lousy week of rain more rain and wind still some hardy souls managed to make it. This is what they saw or missed

The weather was so bad the cakes were almost cleared.
This Berberis stenophylla Coralina Compacta used to be on the showbench until it got a little too big it is now, after about 10 years, 2 1/2 feet high and wide.

The Polemonium is a new planting and has lovely dark foliage. Unfortunatley the Iris has been hit badly by the rain and the flowers are going over very quickly.

The Sedum humifusum got a first at Glasgow Show but is looking even better now.
The last picture shows just how wet it was the bottom of the garden was flooded.
Still a good time was had by all, plenty of tea/coffee cakes and chat.

Beautiful garden Shelagh. If I still lived in Bury I'd be round regularly to scrounge cuttings
