Awfully grey and wet here today - hope it's not going to be like this in Shaftesbury tomorrow - want a lovely sunny day for  you all to enjoy ....

I hear there are all sorts of snowdroppy arty things for sale too...... read of a "silk scarf" but I can't find pix......   sounds as if there will be something for everyone.   Have fun, Folks!

I think the Guildhall is just part of the Town Hall.... so you're on the right track!

Hi Maggi and Emma

Will it be possible for those not attending to hear or read Matt Bishop's talk at a later date?

I'm hearing  that folks had a great time, Emma - well done to you and to Pam and the Shaftesbury Festival Folk ( makes them sound like the Tetley Tea Folk - but from Dorset!!    ::) ;))

The talks from Steve and Matt went down well - and I don't think anyone has any money left, so the sale must have been a success too!

WELL DONE and THANKS to Matt for doing his bit on behalf of the SRGC  8)

I certainly had a good time at Shaftesbury.  During his talk Matt gave an excellent plug for the SRGC forum, both as an active forum  for discussions and because of its valuable repository of information.

It was a pity you could not make it Maggi, but having just driven a mere 3 hours (solid) to get home I can see why it seems very far away for you.

Had a wonderful hour this afternoon - Thank you Emma, Pam and the team for being so organised (even if I was not!!) Yes spent yet another months wage, this really is going to have to stop (Till Next Year).

The whole experience was certainly more sedate than Myddleton as I feared for my life at that one.

Saw Steve Owen speaking with Joe Sharman and actually had time to speak with Joe, Matt and Maxine from Avon Bulbs - everyone had time to speak with customers who had questions to ask at this sale - so once again so well done and next year I will try and be more organised and get tickets for the whole day as I think 10.5hrs driving in one day is a but much.

Hope everyone got home safely with all the problems on the motorways - I didn't think I was going to make it with the M5 traffic jam holding us back by nearly an hr and a half - got there with 20 minutes to spare to doors opening.

Well done, Pam, Emma and all the Shaftesbury team of volunteers for all their hard work. The events yesterday had a really nice buzz to them, so different to the cattle market at Myddleton House. The organisation seemed to work very well - the light and sound people were really on top of things, soup was brought round early to the sellers to they were fuelled before the sale, and the art exhibition was great. Top marks everyone.

Gutted I had to miss this year, had already committed to something else but have been ill so missed that & wouldn't have made it anyway.

After putting on such a good event at short notice last year I hope this continues to do well, hope to be there for 2016.
