Source for fixing clips
« on: October 07, 2014, 06:53:48 AM »
Hi,
I am looking for a source for greenhouse glas pane fixing clips which I need
for a cold frame. I guess this frame is of UK origin.

width 1,5 cm = 0,59 inch
length about the same

standard in the UK are either W or G clips

the drop down shows you the different types

with Z or L's for the overlap

if it is a standard aluminium extrusion with a gully you might be able to use the G clips -

is it a frame or a greenhouse?

Thank you Graeme!

It seems the G Clips will fit - they are available in my country.

I would like to use them for a small frame. I guessed this is of UK origin because I own an
age-old Marley lean-to greenhouse which has similar shaped (unfurtunately somewhat larger) clips
like those shown in my pic.

good, I am glad they will fit

I tend to put a G clip in each end about 5 cm in and a W clip in the middle

I have used this company for some of my spares.

The aluminium greenhouse I am rebuilding at present is over 30 years old, but still perfectly functional. Fortunately I have more than enough clips, but not sure where some of the reinforcing parts should be to stop it "spreading". Don't think they were all there when I bought it on ebay, so needing to make some parts. Electrician came today to quote for wiring. Gone are the days when I did all this sort of work for myself.
