In the fiftieth year of the RHS' Britain in Bloom Awards , there was been a big ceremony last night in Bristol to announce the winners in all the numerous categories.
Too many to mention but congratulations to Shrewsbury for winning the overall title.
Aberdeen has won a gold again, after quite a long gap from their previous successes.
Pitlochry has won another award - and I read in twitter, from the Keep Scotland Beautiful campaign: also a "best dressed" award for their representative at the awards ceremony!
https://twitter.com/KSBScotland - to find a photo mantage including a lady in a very fancy hat!
50 years ago Bath won gold the Bloom national awards and they have done it again 50 years on in the small city category.
