some bulbs to look forward to

I've been told it will be a while before most will be commercially available because they have been twinscaled a few times. A few might be available on ebay in February

Mark, thank you for showing those pictures, lovely snowdrops. Plicatus Bumblebee looks very good, great markings  :o.
As John, same question from me. Please tell us a bit about their background.
If I am correct, Niv Green Zebra is one recently released by Joe Sharman. It is found by M.Dreisvogt in Slovenia.
Richard, Netherlands....building up my collection again

I believe this is another "new" 'drop - the photo is by Naomi Slade - author of the recent Snowdrop book (The Plant Lover's Guide to Snowdrops by Naomi Slade  http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?topic=10946.msg314432#msg314432 )

Naomi has "Tweeted" this photo on  her Twitter page, saying :
"May I present Galanthus reginae-olgae 'Naomi Slade'. So thrilled! Big thanks to Joe Sharman at Monksilver Nursery."

Maggie, you wrote another. It is only another?
May be, Naomi is a very very big person, but looks only very normal.
Hm

Not quite sure what you mean, Hagen?

Edit: Thinking about this - you mean that snowdrop seems average for R-o ?

snowdropcollector  - I understand the last 3 snowdrops  - G. gracilis "best orange", G. nivalis 'Green Zebra', G. plicatus 'Bumble Bee -  are Sharman's.

What was wrong with the "October Snowdrops" thread and why mix up Galanthus and Leucojum ???

Well, David, with the probable exception of 'Naomi Slade', none of these snowdrops are in flower.  What we seem to be getting is some early publicity for Joe Sharman's sales list.
Almost in Scotland.

Yes Maggi, I meant, NAOMI SLADE, the galanthus, looks very average (the picture looks so). Worth to give this name?
But a pic mostly says nothing about the size of a flower. The flower can be huge.
