Giles, well spotted - we should have known with your penchant for primula that you would know this  8)

Tim hasn't been around the forum for ages - I  do hope he is well. I will send him Pam's message.

Hi Maggi, Giles and Pam
Been a stranger on here for a while.
With regards to Primula sp. TJR623/O1, I collected seed in the Sabche Khola, which is a valley off the Marsyandi valley in the Annapurna region of Nepal. My notes say I collected seed at an altitude of 4200m, 1-2 fls / stem on stable turf, growing alongside Saxifraga lowndesii. I will try to locate images and post later.

The plant in the pot on Primula World was shown by Brian Burrow, seed was given to Brian in 2001.

Thanks Tim! I thought it would be your collection, but I wasn't sure.
I have a low resolution image of plants grown from that collection and exhibited at a show, but I would really like to see detailed images if you have them. I was studying P. stirtoniana in regards to another collection from much farther East and this collection has been labelled that species so I wanted to compare. If you are interested in the blog post look at www.primulaworld.com under "Finding Primula stirtoniana" and in the Species Gallery is the image from the show.
