In The Southern Hemisphere the Romulea have been blooming.

A neat circle, Dirk!    Good growth for  a young plant too.

I planted a pot full of Romulea bulbocodium in a sand bed. It has seeded well and seedlings are showing. Am I going to regret it in a few years? The local pheasants peck around it; not sure if they are eating the surplus seed or not.

Removed a lot of seed in the summer but the plants are no too troublesome.

A friend gave me some seedlings of the crocea variety  last year. Surprised to see a flower emerging today, although after this last years hot summer drought nothing will surprise me. They must have got really cooked in the greenhouse when dormant this year in a pot.
