Sad to miss the sale for the second year now.....maybe next year. It looks like you all had great fun though and i love the video. Well done Richard....its a classic.
Hope i get to one snowdrop event this year to catch up with snowdrop friends.

It does look like fun, and a great opportunity to meet a lot of familiar and friendly Forum faces. Myddleton isn't too far from my parents, so maybe I'll get there next year too.

It is a great trip, meeting many of the same people standing around you in the queue.
It is also very funny listening to the non-galanthophile partners talking 'targets'. I am very used to assigning targets for my husband to get and the resulting reluctance to hear discussion of any other varieties as it 'causes confusion with the list'.
Yesterday, I heard a number of exasperated partners using the same argument, 'stop mentioning other varieties unless they are on my list!'
'They also serve who only stand and memorise lists'

Perhaps there should be two queues? One for the Galanthophiles and one for their partners, silently reciting their target list over and over in their heads.

Thank you for the pictures and the video, I wish I was there (but perhaps better for my money that I wasn't). The rock garden in the first picture is really great!

There will be more to come today Leena, including pictures of the rock garden from the top I think, and also some close ups (so beware Val Bourne the 2015 edition will be published). You may have seen her comment in The Telegraph yesterday!

I'm not sure whether I am still regarded as a friend!
The rock garden is amazing to make sure the rocks were secure E.A.Bowles (who put them in himself) jumped up and down on them - it created a wonderful picture in my head!

Great!
I'm looking forward to more rock garden pictures. I see that big rocks give nice backgrounds also to snowdrops.

What an amazing day - only my second trip to Myddleton so I was a little more prepared than last year, still didn't get the elusive ones - need to be faster next time!!!! - recognised some faces from the forum - maybe we can design a badge for those members so we don't seem weird talking to strangers - hope everyone got at least one they wanted

Looking at the number of buyers, the range of sellers and the pretty vast number of plants on sale- I get dizzy just thinking about how one would plan one's purchases
Where to begin? I suppose that most attending might have some idea of who might have what plants but for someone like me- just looking at the list of possibles Andrew gave us ( listed in the Snowdrop Events thread) there are already so many possibilities - that I might see plants I fancy, but I would have no idea who might have them! The thought of me trotting about like a headless chicken trying to join in is laughable.
Added, of course, to the fact that as a short person, I'd never see half the plants anyway! That tall fellow seen chatting to Val Bourne has the build for the game, though!
Wonder if Ms Bourne has been told yet about that photo? ( Refers to post above re Telegraph article
