Didn't go this year on the grounds that there was a risk that I might buy something.

So fun to see the video, thank you Richard.  I am amazed at the size of the crowd.  The rush did not look too dangerous.  Maybe from that distance you can't see the pushing and shoving.  It was funny to see people running up from the back passing everyone.  Is that kosher?  Also enjoyed all the photos especially David's vignettes.

I'm a bit late to this...  very good photos everyone, and it was nice to catch up with some of you for the first time this season.

Alan, I think this may be a picture of your 'distraught' Grumpy... There were a lot of grumpy looking snowdrops... I assume it's because they missed the sale?

Brian... I was quite fixated... but it was made worse because I'd already bought a small number of nice things... and I was trying to justify one more... and I did...  :-[  :-[ *need more discipline* As we discussed... and you could have done more to discourage me... I have a terrible 'thing' for textured petals!!

Looking forward to seeing many of you at the events to come...

I also get annoyed when you have to pay to get into plant sales - after all they are going to reduce the contents of your wallet anyway and must make enough from the sellers contributions, and especially refreshments which we all want (bacon rolls to be recommended at Myddelton, also the soup).  This sale is an exception as the proceeds were going to a really worthwhile cause.

I suppose  the argument for chariging for entry is to moderate the numbers and to help ensure that those attending are more "serious" customers - thus avoiding clogging the place up with mere "gawkers" ......

Nice pictures David, well done  ;). It was a lovely day in Myddleton and great to meet many friends from the forum. Although it seemed
I still have missed a lot  :-[. One day at Myddleton is just not enough !
Got some new snowdrops for my collection  ;D, but think my bankmanager will call me tomorrow  :D.

I always thought that our English friends were polite, but when the sales open the seem to have forgotten that  ;D ;D ;D.
A great day and hope to be there again next year.

Crumbs, Anthony, no point in looking to Brian for restraint - he can't even spell it  ;D

Funny thing about textured petals - I can see the attraction - but then  sometimes I like plain and simple -  really great thatwe all find something to pique our interest, isn't it?

I hope someone from the group who came to me after the sale posts a photo of the boot of their cars  :o

Must have been travelling light, or left all their belongings behind to make room for drops. Probably the latter.....

Don't tell everybody Richard.......sorry no photo. We had a good day with shopping  :-[.
Was great to visit you Richard, thank you for your time and the walk around your lovely garden. And of course for your lovely snowdrops  ;D

This is a second longer video with scenes of the queue, the rush in from two vantage points so hope it works.  There is a sound track.
