Hello Galanthophyles
This snowdrop appeared in my garden last year.
I like its reasonably large size, its spoon shaped petals and its strong markings.
What do you think?
I grow about 30 varieties but this does not seem to be like any of those.
Does it remind you of anything?

It seems to fit comfortably within the range of variation of G. elwesii. Can you show us the leaves at the base?

Again a few pictures of my snowdrops.

Picture 1: Galanthus plicatus "Walter Fish", with its unusual flower shape;
Picture 2: Galanthus "Robert Wijnen", a "Blonde Inge" type with a green ovary and yellow markings, but larger and probably a hybrid. It was found by Valentin Wijnen and is named after his father;
Picture 3: Galanthus nivalis "Green Tear", the most beautiful Dutch snowdrop... ;);
Picture 4: Galanthus "Sprite".

Lovely garden walk this morning and some new appearances plus Louise Ann Bromley which has been flowering for five weeks now!

Angelique is so pretty.
Great the way 'drops can stay in flower for so long, isn't it? Just as well too, since the number of days here they can really open up are few and far between. Luckily they look good even when just sitting as 'drops, without opening, so we don't feel too cheated  :D

Here they spend so much time not being able to fully open that I am always somewhat shocked at how far they CAN open when I take some inside!
I have a 'Hans guck in die luft' flower  in the sun beside me here and "he" looks like he could fly to the sky his wings are so wide! 8)

On Sunday, some members of our local group went to a couple of the sites where Galanthus nivalis Sandersii group (a.k.a.' Yellow Snowdrops' to mere mortals like myself) are found 'in the wild'. In spite of dull conditions, it was a rewarding day photographically, so I thought I would post a few pictures:

Steven I would think from the long receptacle and the thin claws combined with a bit of a twirl to the leaves, that there is some gracilis in this.  It looks a little like 'Swanton', very attractive.

My sandersii seem to increase at a rate of 1 new bulb every 5 years, tried all sorts and they just don't multiply.

Just have to say, I'm very impressed with Corvonium - made a small order subsequent to Maggi's post  ;)
Super quick despatch, excellent packaging and the plants themselves are A* quality. Will definitely be ordering again in the future. Recommended.

Thanks for the endorsement Maggi and for placing your orders Matt and John.  I'm so glad that you are pleased with your Snowdrops :-)

Here are a few Snowdrops from around the garden this week.

Galanthus 'Fuzz'
Galanthus 'Honeysuckle Cottage'
Galanthus nivalis 'Alan's Treat'
Pale ovaried Galanthus woronowii find from last year.

Cornovium Snowdrops near Chester, Cheshire.  I love plants, especially Snowdrops, Trillium, Erythroniums and Primula.
