Much the same here Matt as I am not a galanthophile either but just like taking photos of them.  It is where we can see it and now it has several flowers is even better.  Castle Green Dragon gives a similar thrill too!

It might have been sunny but biting cold wind so didn't last long out there!

1.  Galanthus ‘Pearl drops’
2.  Galanthus ‘Swanton’
3.  Next to Swanton for light relief what I think is Iris histrioides ‘George’

Just home from a week away in England looking at and buying snowdrops. Great to meet everyone again!

What a difference 7 days makes. We just don't see the gradual change when we are in the garden every day. It was if I was looking at a garden that wasn't mine

A 92 year old visited while I was away. No idea how she found out where I live. She heard I grow 30 different snowdrops!

over 750 photos taken which will take forever to go through and edit but as a teaser I was show this. Flowering for the first time this year.

Bless the elderly lady for coming to see your "30" snowdrops - I wonder how many she thought you had when she left?  :D   I bet you've nearly lost count of how many  you have now yourself!

I know exactly what you mean about how our gardens look after a while away. I know how it seems to me when I'm usually only away for a weekend.

Glad you've had a great time - nice to be home though!

David - such beautiful photos and so much green!  That Iris histroides 'George' looks lovely with the snowdrops - what a great shade of blue it is.  I am having trouble getting photos this year as every time I am down on my knees with the macro lens I spot another problem in snowdrop land.  Maybe tomorrow.....
