The mark on the flower and the leaves are close to nivalis so I think it must be a nivalis or a nivalis hybrid.  If it ever was a named cultivar then I don't see enough distinguishing features to re-identify it if the name has been lost.  But most snowdrops from friends are exactly that and not named cultivars.

Thanks Alan, nivalis type/hybrid is near enough for me.

The snowdrops in the old walled garden at Cammo Estate are probably at their best just now.

Snowdrop photos come out better if the aperture is stepped down/minus 2/3rd. Its the +/- button

Mark, the bulb is splitting. Two offsetts are flowering now. Next year i will have the lines back on the mature bulbs!

I have another stalker! While at work today .....

"You have the best garden in Antrim" a Polish woman told me today. "Can I bring friends and take photographs?"

She knew many bulbs

A 92 year old visited my garden this week. Sadly I was at work

'Marjory Brown' looks really nice, and earlier Blonde Ingrid's 'Cowhouse Green' is also looking good. That one doesn't seem to be so difficult to get -green (-ish) snowdrop. :)
I love the pictures of the snowdrops in big drifts, and hope that someday I have enough G.nivalis that it would look at least a little like that.

Thanks Leena, it certainly is a very attractive 'green', I got mine from Avon and it is great value when compared to some of the other greens . It is supposed to be slow and require care but it is well worth the effort  8)
