It's a pretty thing.... I think Jane at Cornovium still has some left .... http://www.cornoviumsnowdrops.co.uk/ourshop/cat_783185-Galanthus-hybrid-cultivars.html

Just have to say, I'm very impressed with Corvonium - made a small order subsequent to Maggi's post  ;)
Super quick despatch, excellent packaging and the plants themselves are A* quality. Will definitely be ordering again in the future. Recommended.

Cyril, is Chris Sanders doing a Berthille with its inners? And Mariette - well done, I haven't managed to produce any doubles yet, and yours is nice and regular.

Thank you for posting those lovely pictures Cyril. Chris Sanders is my favourite, it has very nice round flowers  :)

Chris Sanders is one of my favourites too Richard.  It has a perfect heart-shaped mark on the inner segment (flowering appropriately around Valentine's Day!).  It seems to be a good grower so far.

Cyril, is Chris Sanders doing a Berthille with its inners? And Mariette - well done, I haven't managed to produce any doubles yet, and yours is nice and regular.

You are right Anne, it can produce a set of additional inner segments that protrude externally in the manner of Berthille.  I think it has to be a mature bulb for the flowers to show this characteristic.  Here is a picture showing the inners.

'Berthille' has opened its petticoat in time for Valentine's day too!
Its "heart" shows on the inner segments, and the "petticoat" (the additional inners) also has green marks, unlike Chris Sanders.
One of  the flowers is also showing green marks on the outers...

Interestingly we saw it in the propagation beds this morning and several had aberrant inner petals of varying size.

I have a single, double nose bulb of 'Cowhouse Green' that has 2 flower stems between each of the 2 pairs of leaves. Not noticed this happening before. Does this happen often with this variety, or any other for that matter?

Mature bulbs of ´Cowhouse Green´produce regularly 2 scapes for me, though I have little experience with double nose bulbs yet. Many other varieties do the same, ´Straffan´and ´Daglingworth´being just two of them.

Me too, very impressed.
