Brian,
     Alice's late is a late flowering nivalis and shouldn't have green tips.Your plants look like Elfin to me,or Lazy Bones from Simon Savage.

Thanks Steve, that's just what I wanted to hear.  Too tall for 'Elfin' so probably 'Lazy Bones' then.  Cheers.

1  A shot of ELFIN which is a cheap drop and for me clumps up well and gives a very pleasing effect. That is STARLING at the back on the left.

2   A couple of shots of PHILIPPE ANDRE MEYER which are both from the same bulb Avon sent me last year, I having cut off the daughter bulb as security to plant in two different areas. Seems like it is on steroids by the growth, much better doer than SOUTH HAYS or PHIL CORNISH here.

I was imagining redoing parts of the garden today while dreaming out of the window at work. Suddenly ta-daa!

Some troughs where Daphnes have died I already thought of planting them with yellow, green tipped/pterugiform  and mini snowdrops. Other troughs have crevicing only because the plants have died. I had planned to send to Germany for a load of alpines. Why bother when I've go lots of bulbs in pots. I'll plant bulbs between the crevices. Bulbs that flower from now until April them over plant with bedding
