Your meaning is always helpful, Brian.
I have an uncertain feeling for right and good English names

I think you 'hit the nail on the head' with that name Hagen ie it is perfect :)

They may be hard to get but that is one of the nicest and fortunately more easily available.

Magnificent snowdrop Hagen and good name !

It is a while since I posted, so try out to post one.

Maybe a moment to add one to show the diversity of scharlockii: Aragnee  (8 petalled poculiform) picture of last year.

When I was making the list for the thread, I was wondering if 'Walrus' is considered virescent or part virescent.  It has almost all green outers and very green inners.

It certainly is!
Interesting to see David's photo of South Hayes from above since it shows a feature of that cultivar I have noticed on all the bulbs I have, from 3 different sources. This is a pinching together of the upper surface of the leaves to give a 'figure of eight' shape when viewed from above. Will you who grow this variety please let me know whether yours does the same?

Great to "see" you again Johan!  I hope you are well?

Your snowdrop reminds me of a favourite poem which begins......
