Shoot...it looks so healthy and was such a surprise to find out it was a snowdrop..I will keep it in a pot out of the way of my others..is there anyway it can be proved to be virused?

Wait a bit and see how many of the others in your garden end up looking the same!

Ant-k sadly virus can affect many plants so if you make a search of the forum, from the SEARCH button ( fourth from the left in the line of options near the top of the page - this sometimes give more complete results than the one t the top right of the page - don't ask why, I have no idea!) you will find many references to assorted virus attacks - mostly the advice ifs to burn the affected plant. Sometimes it can be possible to gather seed from and infected plant, which, when grown on, should be clear - but then you will also read of instances when seed does seem r to carry some diseases - the choice, and risk, is yours!

Bear in mind ,also, that many virus infections are not  host specific so a virused snowdrop could pass on the disease to other plants too, not just other 'drops.

For what it's worth - in my opinion your plant is heavily virused and I would burn it forthwith.

Here was interesting thread/post about viruses
http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?topic=8612.msg234162#msg234162
I got a little scared about them, because I have some varieties which according to that post have virus (although I haven't seen any symptoms), and in some winters the circumstances are not good here with long and snowy winter.. I hope the viruses don't start showing then.. :(
