RBGE mounted their customary excellent display which was duly awarded a gold medal.

The local group has a tradition of putting on very informative displays on aspects of plants. This year Mike Dale must have put in a prodigious amount of work to set up Plants by Post on stamps- perhaps this should also go to a philatelists' show where I am sure it would be of  interest ? It was awarded a well deserved large gold medal.

Thanks as always, Stan. What a great set of pics of some amazing plants. So much colour, so many huge pans and some wee treasures amongst them too. This looks like a large show, in terms of lots of entries but also a large venue so theres plenty of space to display the plants as well as having circulation space? Were there a good number of sales stalls too? Looks like it was a great day out.

Well done as usual Stan a great set of pictures form one of the best shows we have seen so far. I was asked to judge (not an easy task) as President Carol and husband Ian called off due to severe chest infection I wish them well soon can bring then a large glass of the Amber medicine to next show. I thank Peter show secretary all the Newtons who yet again produced a super lunch as well as buzzing around the show doing just about everything I must congratulate the whole team without them the show would not happen. I drove down with Cyril nearly left his Farrer Trillium on the doorstep thank goodness we squeezed it into the car well done Cyril.  cheers Ian the Christie kind
