Hello, Friends, the latest issue, Number 120 of the SRGC Journal, "The Rock Garden" is beginning to drop onto doormats in Britain and will soon follow around the world. To whet your appetite for the delights therein, may I direct your attention to this page on the main SRGC Website :
http://www.srgc.org.uk/journal/journal.html
There's a note from Editor Anton about the issue and a sneak preview of the covers and contents page.

One mistake that I can see in the otherwise great mag. Iris 'Ktherine Hodgkin' isnt. Another expert can ID it - now back to my photography and a coffee and coffee cake ...

It arrived in Australia last week and it's top of the pile for bedtime reading!
Having just seen Finn's pics of Tromsø at the NZAGS Weekend, it was wonderful to see even more of the place!
cheers

We've just watched Monty Don's TV programme, where he visits gardens around the world , to see him visit Tromsø and the Botanic Garden there. He was shown round by the curator Arve Elvebakk , it was great to see huge lilies, meconopsis and great patches of Cremanthodium.... growing like weeds!!
We also saw part of the historic collection area, of old garden plants. I haven't been watching this sereis, but I am pleased to have seen this episode. It may well be repeated elswhere in the TV schedules.... I encourage you to look out for it
