Many thanks Maggi for this very welcome publicity for our East Lancashire AGS Show. We actively encourage newcomers to the show scene and even have special prizes for first time exhibitors. If you are anywhere near Rochdale on Saturday 21st March, then please drop by our delightful venue and make yourself known to one of the stewards. We would love to see you!!!

If you are going to the Sunday Westminster show you can also fit in the London marathon which is just a few minutes from the same St. James tube station. Should be rather busy for a Sunday.

News from the London Show  -  The Farrer Medal at AGS London Show was won by  Sebaea thomasii shown by Tim Lever of Aberconwy.  I rather think this is the same plant that won a Certificate of Merit at the SRGC show in Perth - or it's brother!  8)

Congratulations, Tim. :)

The AGS  plant show at the  Malvern Show  is only on Sunday May 10 from
9am to 6pm

The Artistic section will be on for the full four days May 7 – 10   (with talks and demonstrations Thursday, Friday and Saturday) (artistic section)

MALVERN SHOW, Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire WR13 6NN
(M5 North Jn8;  M5 South Jn7; follow brown signs for Showground).

Extra note re Malvern Show :
Elsewhere in the Forum Maren Talbot mentions that while Ian Butterfield's famous Pleiones will be displayed a t the Malvern Show this year,  it may be that this is his last show - so don't miss the chance to see and buy Ian Butterfield's plants at Malvern.  :)

A note from a local member :  " I have just noticed 'plant sales from 10 a.m". We let people in at 9 - that's what all our advertising says. The early bird catches the worm - in this case the choicest plants."

Be warned, folks!

 Have a great day!
