The last snowdrop finished here today which is always a sad time  The quiet season starts BUT there are always 2016 targets to identify

My list has the following:

8. Philippe Andre Meyer (A must have recommendation from Brian Ellis)

To extend the flowering period I might be tempted to search for Galanthus Elwesii.  That would bring a sence of spring much earlier in my garden.

François, there are many forms of both elwesii and plicatus that flower early but you need to pick the right cultivars.

Well here you are Emma, this is 'Neckless Wonder' and 'La Bohème', as you can see it was a lovely afternoon and I took these on my iPad.  David may well post better pictures later.  There is the faintest hint of green on the inside of the tepal rather than the outside, it was delightful
