Pretty much the same here. It's now heading for Trond in Norway.

Got it! Thank you >:(

It's southerly wind so my garden is spared compared to yesterday when rhododendron flowers were strewn all over the place.
The roads crossing from west to east are more or less closed. Cars have been dug out of the snow there.

It is the wettest May since 1922 around here (that means snow in the mountains).

Aquilegias and Lupins flattened; Acers shredded; Paeonias blatted. Even some of the low growing cushions are scattered around the garden thanks to the fleet (not sure if that's the right collective noun) of Jackdaws and their search for ants. Makes you wonder if it's all worth it sometimes!

David,

Sorry to hear that. Don't need any jackdaws to damage the plants :( The weather is enough!

And the gales continue, it would be a lovely warm sunny day here in my part of Lincolnshire, but for the gale force wind. David, yes it is worth it, I know this spring hasn't been much kop (eg rubbish), but hopefully it will get nice and warm from Wednesday onwards, if the weathermen are to believed. I have had a standard rose uprooted, but I'll get it replanted when the weather allows, you just take what Mother Nature chucks at you and carry on.

Just arrived back from a trip north to Dunedin . The place is saturated after 140mm of rain (2 months worth ) today and a further 100mm forecast for tonight .
In one hour there was as much rain as there had been in total for the previous month .
No state of emergency yet but I think they are evacuating a rest home

Some great warm sunshine at long last, at the moment I am sat on the bench we have on the patio, soaking up the Rays and having a corneto. Bliss

Is it ever going to stop being windy? Not a raging gale but a sneaky, gusty cold breeze and it blows empty buckets all over the place, and I can't be doing with that ;D

Is summer EVER going to come ?  Today in the greenhouse 15°C with the windows and door shut-outside 10°C with a NW wind and horizontal drizzle.
I blame the BBC weather people.  Every time I look at their maps they have a blue patch of rain over Ayr bay and usually the lowest temperature in Scotland !

I thought summer had arrived yesterday but no, it's a miserable day today.  I blame David and his shading of his greenhouse  ;)
