NARGS Annual General Meeting 7- 10 May 2015
« on: May 07, 2015, 10:02:26 PM »
The North American Rock Garden Society is holding its Annual General Meeting  in Michigan.
NARGS    Michigan - Annual General Meeting 7th - 10th May
Hosted by the Great Lakes Chapter

https://www.nargs.org/event/michigan-annual-general-meeting

"The meeting host will be the NARGS Great Lakes Chapter; they are expecting three outstanding speakers. We will be visiting the excellent open gardens that abound in that part of Michigan.  There will also be a post-conference trip to the Upper Peninsula – an unusual opportunity, and one that promises to be quite exciting.

We've heard in other threads about some SRGC/NARGS member who will be attending:

Glad to see the snow is gone, Rimmer - and also to see you  featuring in PK's blog  in advance of the NARGS Study event - http://prairiebreak.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/michigan-impossible.html     8)

Leaving in two days for the NARGS Annual Meeting in Michigan and questioning my sanity.  I hate to be away for 5 days at this time, but it will be worth it.

Have a great time in Michigan, lots of photos please.

Forumist Koko (KK) is in Ann Arbor, for a start .....  hope you can have a forum get-together     8)

Anne,
We will be looking forward to a exciting week.  I will be helping out on registration on Thursday.  If you see a gray haired asian, that will be me!
Keeping our fingers tightly crossed to see a kind side of mother nature for the event.

Koko

Anne and Koko won't be the only ones there, of course!
Bobby Ward  has posted these photos on Facebook which show some of the plant sales that will delight attendees at the meetings.

Great pictures and plants! Viola pedata pretending to be a rosulate viola - like that ;), and carving out troughs - there's a bit of lateral thinking and elbow grease! The crevice garden on a slope is just what I would like to make if just we had a slope. Looks a very enjoyable event and some inspiring gardens to visit. (Reminds me of another conference?...!).

Thanks, Maggi,
Thanks for re-posting the pics. We're not on FB so hadn't caught up with the action and strangely nothing on the NARGS forum,
cheers
