Meconopsis 2015

My meconopsis have been badly damaged by wind and rain.  Leaves shredded and some stems broken.  Meconopsis rudis/prattii are a bit tougher.
As far as I remember these were all seedlings from the same pale blue flowered plant.  There is a white one with unmarked leaves and a couple which have the spotted leaves of rudis.

Hello Roma yes the weather has been very unkind for Meconopsis this year and our big blue poppies are only now at the best probably 2 weeks later than usual we have31 German visitors on Sat so they will see them just a bit hot should not complain but a shower of rain would be good tonight. I post a few pictures no names just Blue poppies,  cheers Ian the Christie kind.

Another Meconopsis prattii has opened.  It is pale blue like the parent

Meconopsis baileyi alba from seed (thanks Gote).  6 or 7 white plants and one blue

Yann  - The price to be paid is hefty, it's 22nd of June and 16c, overcast and a good stiff wind blowing.  And we dream of Albizias....

Blue poppy time on the coast.  Grew these from seed in 2012 as betonicifolia and if we had been smart we'd have planted them out straight away. Instead kept them potted another year when many "bolted" and fizzled.   We now presume they are ex a 'Lingholm' that originally came from Ian the Christie kind. Thoughts?

I can grow only a few meconopsis species on my balcony.
This one comes from the seed exchange.
Meconopsis cambrica / double flowered orange form.
This is a pity the flowers only live just a little more than one day...

This was from seed off a plant that a friend got from you at your nursery in atumn 2003.  So I reckon the same as one of your fertiles eh?

The second Meconopsis walichii is flowering now.  It is way above my head.  The first one has flowers at eye level now which are easier to photograph.  I measured one at 9 foot a few years ago when I removed the dead plant.  Much easier to measure when it is lying on the ground
