Nurseryman Rob Potterton plans to undertake a project to raise money to help the victims of the Nepal earthquakes.
I think that because of the number of plants we grow from this beautiful but now devastated area, many of us are especially sympathetic to the plight of the Nepalis and may welcome the chance to support such projects as this.
"Robs Everest Challenge"Rob is planning to walk the Viking Way, a 147 mile footpath, for The Himalayan Trust UK to raise funds for the people of Nepal
He writes :
In August I am going to be walking the 147 mile long Viking Way from Oakham in Rutland to the Humber Bridge which seems like a great way to help raise money for the people of Nepal following the recent devastating earthquake. Please give a little if you can. Thank you. "
Donations to Rob may be made
HERE In
this thread, there was also comment about Nepal from David and Stella, who have helped Nepalese friends in the past ( this was before the second big quake )
News of Nepal
We have now heard from our friends and all of them are alive, although they have lost friends, family and homes.
