Must be more a English saying than a Scottish one Maggi. like sassenach is more of a Scottish thing than an English one.

Must be more a English saying than a Scottish one Maggi. like sassenach is more of a Scottish thing than an English one.

Sassenach is a Scot's Gaelic-derived word which literally means Saxon. It was originally used primarily to refer to non-gaelic speaking lowland Scots but now is used to refer to "Southrons" (itself an almost redundant Scots word which was borrowed by Tolkien).

Just returned from our hols in Canada. We had a great trip, but it's nice to get back to chilly Yorkshire! And the bulbs all went dormant while we were away!

Welcome home Anne. Glad you had a good trip - weather has mostly been chilly while you were away - just enough heat to the rain to let the weeds burst into growth!

Dryad Golds will appear in the next IRG - online next Friday!
Margaret Young in Aberdeen, North East Scotland Zone 7 -ish!

Hi Anne,
Excellent article in the IRG on your new additions!  ;D I will be studying the listing in detail as, from memory, there are only three coming up  :o

Some of the others look beautiful so when I have had a good read I will start bugging you about potential launch dates  ;D

Hi Anne,
As promised, I have looked at your total list on the IRG. Having been drawn to the 'Dark Side' by 'Darth Ellis' I have become interested in the smaller drops, following him singing the praises of Philippe Andre Meyer. I have tasked the acquisitions team with 'Dryad Gold Bullion' but also like the look of 'Gold Nugget'.

I know it is difficult but do you have any feel for when that beauty will be likely to appear, are we a few years away?

Which is, of course, the very reason he has such charm!
