Here is my Hoya Carnosa in flower in my porch, it is looking really great at the moment. have to be careful with the worktop though, the flowers are dripping with necter which makes the worktop nice and sticky and gets me a glare or two from my better half

Nice specimen John, maybe I should try mine as an indoor plant... We can keep them outside all year round in Adelaide, but they definitely go to sleep for the winter.

Thanks Jamus. Mine is outside now for the rest of the summer, take a cutting off yours and see how it goes.

Yes - it is the one in the first photo  I don't fuss over it - it gets watered when it rains and comes in when the frosts approach to spend the winter in a cool spare room.

I think so. Ornamental cherries are something of nothing after they've flowered and a couple of "exoticy" things under it add some interest. Better pots would be an improvement though.

If I may ask, where do you get your hanging pots from please? I have a few trailing plants that would be ideal for pots that size.

I get them from a local independent nursery. I found some on fleabay though...............

They're as hideous as mine though. Another alternative is macrame pot holders with a terracotta pot.

My Hoya carnosa has flowered for the second time this year, great autumn colour when there's not much else in flower in the house.

New hoya - just described by Dale Kloppenburg, Fresno, California: Hoya edwinofernandoi -- Klopp, Cajano & Haddall (2015). This new hoya hails from the Philippines.
