Hi
Bored with cyclamineus hybrids. How about miniature 1Y-Y's?

Hi
Maggie, it is definitely a case of feral galanthus.

Hi
Flowering has reached the point where we have too many daffodils flowering to use them all for hybridising so it is a case of being selective.
Something truly special for Lesley - a split cup cyclamineus hybrid that is W-P!

Hi
Our intermediates and standards are starting to flower so I will be able to hybridise for colour using them. Our miniature white-pinks have started to flower. Unfortunately, the pink is a very pale because we have used Tasmanian pinks in our hybridising program. The pink is not very predominant. I would have been better off using American cherry pinks but they tend to flower much later than the Tasmanian pinks.

Hi
Lesley there are a few photos just for you. Photos of a miniature split and a miniature double are attached. The important thing about both of these seedlings is that they are fertile both ways.
It helps in breeding to have small coloured flowers. I was a little taken aback when I found a very small 1W-P in our garden border. I was even more taken aback when I found another nearby!

Hi
A few more photos of what is flowering at the moment.
K14/95 is a sibling to Platinum Legend and Second Fiddle. It is 20 years old this year. It is very good for breeding.

Hi
A few more photos. It is still winter here so what you are seeing is winter flowering daffodils.
