Thanks Zhirair! Both pictures i showed where different??These are new pictures of today. In first is Crocus armeniacum from JanisIn second is Crocus speciosus 'Cloudy sky' - its almost identical isn't it? Maybe there is one subspecies of speciosus is Armenia and this is armeniacum? The third picture is puringhiorum Those later flowering speciosus ssp. have very strong tubes. For me those are totally different to the other speciosus species like bolensis, mazziaricus ... . I'm not a botanist (:-d) but i can only see they flower different in autumn by time and flower (stronght). So for that reason (for me) its better to put not all in to the same group of speciosus!!
Very nice striped tournefortii Tony! First time flowering? Does it close his flower at night?
