Hello Mark
some years ago I've sown tropical orhids seeds in vitro at home.
The challenge is the same with terrestrial orchids.
Many sowing techniques are available on internet on in good orchid growbooks, so I won't detail it now...
I think those little flasks aren't good for you : first they're very expensive, and very small...
Prepare the tissue culture medium yourself, it's very easy and cheaper : you can find sources for powder on the web, like there (were I used to buy some) : http://technivit.pagesperso-orange.fr/boutique.htm, just add commercial agar agar.
Another website : http://kay-orchid-flask-factory.com/kayorchidflask/index.php?id_category=22&controller=category&id_lang=1
Prepare it in marmelade glass pots, and sterilize them in a cooker sterilizator or in a big pressure cooker for 30 minutes.
the total price for at least 15 big pots is 15 euros, and you almost need them to grow just 1 seed pod (you must transplant your seedlings...).
You must choose the medium for the species you want to grow, usually Knudson C is the classic one, but there are other specific ones.

If you absolutely want to buy ready-to-use flasks, remember :
1-you need a sterile local : I used a big aquarium, totally desinfected with Javel, sterile gloves and a cooking blowpipe.
2-big flasks with large opening are much more practical...

Romain ;)
