Salix for ID, please

"Need help with the ID of this very vigorous male dwarf Salix. I received it as: alpina, arbuscula, retusa, xsimulatrix. It is probably a hybrid as it shows hybrid vigour! A friend suggested alpina x retusa? "

I believe to have a plant like this here and was once told it could be Salix retusoides, but the name was never confirmed for being right. I think there are more Salix looking like this one so it will be difficult to name it right? On the third picture it looks like having the same habius as my plant.
Have it since more than 10 years on a raised bed. The first 6 years it was behaving nice compact but since I have to cut it back every year otherwise it would overgrow many plants.

I can tell for sure is not S.alpina. Also S. retusa has glabrous leaves, so it doesn't really fit for a hybrid between the two.
The leaves seemed to be somewhat pubescent but more good close-up images would be necessary and I'm not a specialist anyway. If a hybrid, it might be impossible to put a name to it.

We have a similar salix here growing under the name 'Lohbrunner'. It originally came from Grand Ridge Nursery in WA 25 years ago. The branches grow very tightly over the rocks.  I can't find my photo of the shrub and catkins, but it appears to be  similar to the ones taken by Lvandelft.  The web pages for the Bellevue Botanical Garden have a listing with photos.
