Nice colour, Anne.  Will they spread by rhizomes or stay compact, I wonder?

New to me this year is H. transsilvanica 'Pfauenauge'.

They are remaining compact. It would be easier to propagate if it were a spreader.  :-\

A lovely large flowed hybrid, Anne. I'm interested in its leaves. Both have tri-lobed leaves, but japonica is smooth edged and transsylvanica is crenate.

I chose a marbled leaf form of japonica. Here is the leaf of clone 10. They are all quite similar.
