This is a cross between two wild-collected "pinks" known as 'Glady Blackbeard' and 'Umtamvuna Dark Pink'



As the individual flowers age, they fade to a nice pink tint.  First bloom after many years in my greenhouse.

This is an interesting Clivia:  a cross between a Chubb Peach, from Sean himself, and Dave Conway's 'Meagan'.  Previous crosses of 'Meagan'  with a yellow had produced orange (wild type color) offspring.  I was not expecting this peach at all!  The cross is my #2164, and this may be the first plant from the batch to bloom.  I plan to hang on to this plant.

I uncovered a pair of almost-white seedlings over the weekend.  Actually, a couple visitors to the greenhouse noticed them first.

The digital image emphasizes the pink heritage and pale background color of these sibling.  The cross, made in April, 2000, was [Solomone Pink #2010 X Solomone Pink #2012].  I am pretty sure these have bloomed before -- there is a spent scape from a year ago on one of them -- but I never noticed them before.   Maybe this year's "white" appearance in bright sunlight is a passing fancy.
