Us Belgians, we're very modest Maggi, so we gracefully admit, the Swiss do their best...  ::)

But hey, they have the Alps, that should do. The best chocolate is ours !  ;D
(And I know a big Belgian chocolate manufacturer who produces hundreds of tons of Lindt chocolate per month....  ::))

Hi people:
              I for one thing would like to see on what basis Ipheion has been merged into Tristagma. Separation among them and several species of Nothoscordum has been difficult, the only thing that proved consistently coherent was the seed coat but this is obviously not easy by simple observation.

              As for the reviewers, only Dee Snijman is well known. Will keep on inquiring, hopefully it is not another musical chairs thingy as in the past.

So much of these reclassifications are , as you describe, Alberto, more a case of musical chairs than anything more lasting : this is why I tend to leave labels and my "recognition" of a plant name as it always has been... untill I really feel the change is permanent and I must finally learn the change. I am always more worried about how the plant is growing than what its name is!

but it seems the Belgian make the best now... ???  ???

Put "Eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today.

And here's something very important (for gardeners) to remember:

Chocolate is cheaper than therapy  -------   (Good for Scots and Dutch!   ;D ;D)
and you don't need an appointment.

Maggi, I don't think I should be on this forum as I don't like chocolate, and never eat any or anything that has chocolate in it. I can't stand the taste of it.

I wonder if it worries the taxonomists that apart from Forum members reading this thread, because Diane had drawn our attention to the name changes, thousands of gardeners across the world who actually grow and love the plants will happily go on calling the plants what they have always called them in blissful ignorance.

I shall make a sign tomorrow and shall paint on it the following and erect it in my garden.

THIS IS AN IPHEION uniflora BECAUSE LUC HAS TOLD ME SO. SO SOD OFF ALL YOU TAXONOMISTS.

There, I feel better now, and after my first pint in about an hours time I shall feel better still ;D
