Housebound

There must be times when folks on here are not able to get out into the garden or even the greenhouse, so what do you do when housebound?
I have had to have my big toenail removed and, if I want to go to Caerleon (Feb 13th 2016) then I have to be a good boy and keep off it.
To say that I am getting very frustrated is an understatement. There is so much to do out there. Does not help that tonight is the Local AGS group meeting and there is no way I can drive there.
Helps that I have been proof reading a book which my son has published for me, but that is done  now and ready for sale.
So how about some ideas. no standing up allowed though!

anything I know I am going to split this year I write out another label
when I buy any new plants I always write 2 new labels - one is called hope the other is expectation - so when I repot I have a spare

plan my list of jobs for the year - review last years list - set a list of priority jobs

..... if it were me Eric I'd just be completely decadent. Comfiest chair, bottle of malt and a glass, and work my through my complete works of Ian Rankin for the umpteenth time (apart from his latest one which I'm 3 parts through for the first time) and let the rest of the world go by. Had I been a bit nearer I'd come over and show you how to do it (your Malt of course )

As a stranded indoor gardener due to our inability to even see our gardens due to snow coverage, I understand so well your frustration.
Those darn toenails!  Having your great toenail removed should not hold you back.  For me "did and done that" the nailbed included, last October.  Advice after two days max of being trapped, wrap new missing toenail site up well, wear a loose sock and sandals, or cut out an old rubber (Welly?) boot toe front, or find a larger boot size with room for dressings and eventually Band-Aids.  Have a good supply of non adhesive dressings, gauze roll (ask for a roll from the attending nurse) & heavy fabric waterproof Band-Aids, here they are called Elastoplast. 
Go, stand up and march on outside!  Hope procedure goes well!

Great, only as I am allergic to alcohol, not a good idea.
She has hidden my gardening shoes so I am definitely not allowed outside.
I have already read all the Terry Pratchett books. I suppose I could start at the beginning of the Rock Garden and read all them. Trouble is that does my arthritic neck no good at all.
