Chipping experiment

I came across these photos from an experiment I did in 2011 and promptly forgot I did it!
I had some slightly dodgy bulbs and to save them I chipped them and divided each variety into two lots, one lot trated with a fungicide, and one with trichoderma solution, to see if one would be more effective than the other. Results below:

That's fascinating, Anne; particularly for me as I don't have access to fungicide.  But we only see the results after a short time; did the chips go on to fulfil their early promise?

Do you remember whether you cut each bulb in half first so that each bulb got each treatment?

Are flowers of sulfur could be sufficient as a fungicide?

I seem to remember forumist jamouatt telling me of a bad experience using sulphur on mature plants.  I suppose it might be different for chips.

Back then it was something you can't get now. Last year I used Fungus Fighter which seemed to work fine.

Alan, that is interesting as I used sulphur on some year old chips last year and seem to have lost a lot of them. Could be coincidental but I had not considered sulphur being the problem before.
