Iris tuberosa ???

Bought as Iris tuberosus. But i have doubts :-(
What could it be ? ...i think reticulata. But which clone?
Help please.

It looks like one of the McMurtrie hybrids. In which case that's a bargain!

after searching i think: Iris reticulata "Pauline" (reticulata x barkeriana)

what do you think ?

Definitely not I. tuberosa and I don't think it's a McMurtrie seedling. But I don't think it is 'Pauline' either, more like a bakeriana hybrid of which I know only 'Springtime' and 'Clairette.' Or perhaps it's a form of bakeriana itself. Have you counted the number of sides to the leaves Bernd? Bakeriana has 8 sides, making the cross section almost round, reticulata has four and the hybrids between the two have a varying number from 5-8 usually.

 For this, side   =edge  ..... like pentagon, hexagon, and so on.

Hi,
I had bought from a dealer two different varieties. The illustrated here, blue, sees the "Spot On" really very similar to the second (- aka danfordiae - photo) is reminiscent of the "Sunshine". Whether this is coincidence?
I have now emailed the dealer if he can tell me the correct name, or want to give me the farm.

@Lesley Cox: seems to be 8 sides

It is unlikely that anyone else has a hybrid like my Spot On (Purple Gem x Iris bakeriana ANMc2275)
It is easily within the range of expression of Spot On (87-DQ-1).  Here are some photos I have access to on my laptop that don't show a light yellow ridge [in England at the moment]

about a week ago I had the dealer (Dehner/germany) written, but received no reply. This morning I again complained, mentioning that I posted the name issue in some forums and there will reluctantly write: "No response from the dealer." Within hours, I had a very friendly answer with the name of the plant: 'Purple Gem' x Bakeriana

I'm sorry Bernd, I should have been more clear about the sides. Fortunately, Maggi has given you a good illustration of the leaves in CROSS-SECTION. Viewed in this way, the leaves of reticulata can be seen to have 4 sides, those of bakeriana seen to have 8 making them seem close to round and hybrids between the two have a varying number of sides.
