Romulea 2016
« on: March 26, 2016, 05:04:26 PM »
This pot of seedlings started 3FEB 2014  as Romulea monticola finally bloomed today under bright light.  it has been in the same wet peat based mix all along.  It has very long leaves about 20" or more tall, but the blooms are about 2-3” tall.
It looks like the photo of Romulea engleri in the PBS wiki

http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/EuropeanAndMediterraneanRomuleas

can someone conform the identify?
Thank you

These are the ones in pots, Maggi,
we have a few hundred, thousand more growing in the "rough grass" (we have no lawn here!) around the property - mostly Romulea rosea and Romulea minutiflora! ;D
cheers
