Judging for 'Beautiful Scotland' 50th Anniversary
« on: August 11, 2016, 07:37:58 PM »
As 'Beautiful Scotland'  celebrates its 50th Anniversary,  Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society and SRGC Star,  Stan da Prato   has posted this in the "Caley" blog.....
"Judging for Beautiful Scotland  .....can be hard work. Some of Uddingston Pride’s many volunteers had made all these cakes to celebrate the BS  campaign’s 50th anniversary so I had to sample several."

I'm sure Stan's credentials re  assessing cake quality is unmatched ( it is after all, an SRGC speciality!) but isn't he meant to be judging the gardens??

Mind you, when the Press and Journal  newspaper  reported about  Stan di Plato being one of the judges  visiting  Aberdeen recently, perhaps Stan can be forgiven for  using his well-known talents for spotting a tasty cake as well as a well-tended plant!
Happily the paper has got Stan's name correct in its photo pages!

It is necessary to take some nourishment before venturing  out into the Lanarkshire monsoon.
