Discussion weekend - anyone going up the A1?
« on: September 16, 2016, 10:22:54 PM »
Is anyone going to the Discussion Weekend in Peebles from near me  (near Wetherby/ York, North Yorkshire), or will be travelling up the A1 and would be prepared to briefly stop at Wetherby Services to pick up a trophy I have to send back? I'm unwilling to trust it to the post, and cannot go myself this year.
If you live not too far away, I could drop it off beforehand. Thank you.

Will you be going to the joint SRGC/Cyclamen Society event next weekend, or the Ponteland show, Anne?

No, but I might be able to find someone who is. Are you going?

Anne, if you can get it to the Loughborough Show I can then take it to Ponteland and pass it on or, if you fancy getting out of bed really early, I could stop at Wetherby on my way to Ponteland.

I'll be at both events as well as the discussion weekend, so if you can get it to one of those I can bring it up the road.

Hi Anne,
Just seen this thread. I will be at Ponteland so can take the trophy up from there to the DWE if you can get it to Ponteland

Many thanks Anne for ensuring that we have the trophy, much appreciated. As show sec for this event I look forward to receiving it. I am hoping to be at Ponteland and one of the days at Penrith.

Whilst on the subject of DWE show trophies, does anyone have a contact for Tina Finch? If so, could you PM me.
Thanks

I suggest contacting the Shaws, David, they'll have Tina's contact details.

Um, I think I've already sent the trophy back! I think I gave it to someone at the Hexham Show as I knew I wasn't going to be able to go.

Look forward to seeing you there, Shelagh. It's a long way to come, but  the programme is top notch and I'm happy to show my support as a member of both SRGC and Cyclamen Society. See you soon!
