Narcissus October 2016
« on: October 03, 2016, 07:03:35 AM »
Hi
Our season has been extended into October. Too much late season hybridising!
We have developed some excellent late flowering jonquilla and triandus hybrids. We also have lots of late flowering bulbocodiums. They just go on and on.

New raised bed for miniatures taking shape. Would go faster if I didn't need to keep dashing indoors out of the rain.

Or an extra PhD student to hold an umbrella?
That is looking really good Anne, I can imagine it will be splendid in the spring.

Now up to the top course of stones. I had hoped this was going to be a girlie wall involving no power tools of any kind but I'm going to have to resort to an angle grinder to cut some of the top stones for a neat finish. Fortunately for the neighbours I'm too busy with our local show at Harlow Carr gardens tomorrow so they will be spared the awful racket on a Sunday.

Hi
Anne, I am impressed. We also need minions but alas they are hard to come by. You are welcome to visit to build a few beds here!!
Season has almost ended. What is somewhat annoying is having really high quality late flowering bulbs. We have two miniature and micro miniature reverse bicolor triandus hybrids that are very good. They will be destined for our display beds.
