One side says (just about) Double Galanthus. The other side is really hard to see, but it looks like Western Hills or Weston Hill. Definitely Snowdrop, or at least the bulbs look correct and most likely bought at Loughborough Spring show last year.
Anyone any suggestions? TIA.

There are a number of 'drops with West Porlock numbers - might it be one of those?
edited to add..... after search in "the Book"
West Porlock No. 1 became 'Seagull' - but that's single of course.
'White Wings' - syn WestPorlock 7/8/9/ - is also a single ...... there doesn't seem to be anything in Matt Bishop's snowdrop book about any double West Porlocks......

Thanks. definitely says Hill or Hills as the second part of the name. Not Hill Poe either.
Odd in that we did not write the name down in the diary when we bought it, usually do.
Will have to wait and see what it flowers like in that case.

I don't know this snowdrop but Freda Cox lists one called "Weather Hill". But nothing to indicate that it is a double.

If you wrote it in pen, then put the label under a UV light it the residue of the ink should show up.

The label is the one which came with the bulbs so not sure what it was written in. No idea where to get a UV light from either, but a nice idea, thanks.

Thanks. I shall leave it now until they flower. Weather Hill is a possibility for the name. The label seems to be in pencil.
My own stupidity in not relabelling them when I bought them, usually do. Senior moment as this pot was stuck in one of the frames completely unregarded until I started getting stuff ready for winter. Not like me at all.
Thanks for the help everyone.

That's what I thought, Emma, but 'Weather Hill' is a lot closer to "Western Hills or Weston Hill" than any other snowdrop name I can think of.

Likely of no use but you might be interested to know there was a nursery just north of San Francisco called Western Hills. It was quite renowned for loosening one's wallet.
