I would strongly recommend 'Cedric Morris' if you can get hold of it.  I was lucky enough to get one at a "snowdrop lunch" hosted by forum member RichardW a few years ago.  I think the bulbs may have been donated by forum member kentish_lass but were not snapped-up as fast as some of the other snowdrop donations so I ended up taking them home without then knowing what I was getting.  I have grown mine in the open garden ever since (I live in Cambridgeshire, UK).  My first flower opened just after Xmas, it has bulked-up gradually and I think there are two more buds this year.  Three flowers would be one more than last year.  This narcissus seems to be in a league of its own with regard to hardiness and early-flowering and it blends-in very well with those snowdrops flowering now as it is of similar stature.

N. ‘Hatsuyuki’ does not always become double header but several plants do every season.
Both normal single and double flowered stems come from a same bulb.
There are 3 double headers from N. ‘Hatsuyuki’ this season.

After 3 years without any sign of buds Narcissus viridiflora is flowering

Hi Yann,
Having a look at their website they label these as "Viridiflorus I" to "Viridiflorus V" so these are most likely hybrids and not the true species.
Will you self it for seed or do you have other pollen to try on it?

The second time I spoke with Geert Nijssen, he told me that they are hybrids. That is why they bear the name vridiflora and not viridiflorus. He proposes six for sale. I have the numbers 1, 2, 3, 5 and novelty in its assortment, shape with many sepals. They will all flourish at home this year.
Geert assumes that it is a hybrid with Narcissus poeticus. Last year, I tried to pollinate the viridiflora. I had only sterile pods. I also deposited pollen on Narcissus pseudonarcissus. I harvested seeds. We will see if the crossing is successful.
