They are thought to be swept away by strong winds.  :D

Another sunny morning patrol, wind starting to pick up but still dry.

What a delight this morning, Galanthus Swan Lake the new poculiform from Ian Christie! It is a stunner, gorgeous shape, perfectly proportioned and wonderful tiny inner marking.

Dryad Gold Sovereign flowering today and looking amazing in the sunshine. Rapid increase as usual from Anne's drops and like its sister Gold Bullion is well ahead of Wendy's Gold. A really striking yellow drop.

I've just realised I didn't get a Glen Chantry list so far - is there one? Did any of you get it?
It would be interesting as I've heard the Staines will be at Shaftesbury this year, so one might preorder...  :)

Good point, Anne - I didn't get one either - perhaps you should email to Wol and Sue  at glenchantrysnowdropsATtalktalk.net - replacing the AT with @

Lovely to see Lady Putnam, it's such a sweet little thing.

One or two from the garden today.  'Alan's Treat' is clumping up well.  I am really pleased to have Olive Mason's 'Aunt Agnes' and must find a suitable place for it in the borders.  A very kind gift from a lurker, looking stunning today, 'Castle Green Dragon' is a reall beauty.  I bought Tim's 'Copton Trym' to see if I got on any better with that than 'Trym' which doesn't seem to like me, it is doing well in the pot so I will have to be brave and put it in the borders with my fingers crossed.

Now a tragedy, I thought I was going to have a good clump of 'Don Armstrong' this year, despite having moved it in the summer, however wildlife damage has ensured that only one is flowering.  Drat!  'Fly Fishing' is still looking good after two or three weeks and 'Glenorma' is living up to her name.  Another tragedy, 'Godfrey Armstrong' has previously been eaten several times and this is the first time for years that I have seen a flower on it.

It is really nice to see a group of 'Green Tear', last year there was a four petalled flower but this year they are all three so far out of eight flowering and four to come, perhaps it will be one of them.  'Hughes Emerald' 'Emerald Hughes' (corrected as name found to be transposed) has the most delightful marking and looks as though it is a good increaser.  'Lacewing' is a strange flower but holds  sentimental value from when we found it.  'One Drop or Two' was bought sight unseen and I am really pleased with it, as you can see the flowers appear either fused or doubled.

Last two today, good old 'Wasp' not split up last year so must do it in the summer and Jo Hynes' 'Wind Turbine' settling in well with green on the outers, it started flowering at ground level but is now extending, thanks Jo :-*

Very excited to have my first Poc seedling! A kind forumist sent me seeds of a poculiform G. elwesii from Canada in 2008. None of the resulting seedlings were poculiform, but I pollinated them with each other in 2013, and this one is the first of that generation to flower. A nine-year wait...

Congratulations, Anne - a long wait but a great success now. I really love these perfect poculiforms.
