A marvellous group - and great to see them side by side, so the difference in colour can be appreciated.

Here's my best loved snowdrop: G. nivalis 'Green Mile'. It was worth it.......

Actually, no; not even my wife calls me that.  But then it's considered bad form to name a plant after oneself, so I couldn't be 'Cutie-Pie' myself, could I?  Of course I meant that the name has no official standing, just what I choose to call it.

I don't know about everybody else but this snowdrop season seems to have been disappointingly short for me.  The early ones were very late in coming but we must have had enough warm weather in February to hasten many snowdrops over quite quickly so my garden has certainly passed its peak.  Nivalis seem to be coming to an end; I don't think they enjoyed Storm Doris (I certainly didn't).  Plicatus are doing better holding-on.  Now we're back to colder weather so anything that is still in flower should keep going for a while yet.
