Here is another one. A self pollinated seedling from Narcissus cantabricus subsp. monophyllus S.S.120 Spain, Brazatortas. Almost all flowers of this plant are 5 petalled in the last 3 seasons.

5 stamens too.

Narcissus Gypsy Queen was sold in a garden center near my home this year.

Wow! They are early up there! None of mine are out yet.

They are indeed. Most of my bulbs have generally been earlier than in recent years. We've also bee blessed with a relatively dry and sunny winter, which has helped things along too.

Candlepower is a real star, one of Alec Gray's hybrids. The flowers fade to off-white as they age (two photos of the same flower here from last year). I may be able to spare a bulb when I repot this summer.

More miniature trumpets have opened in the last couple of days. This set mostly have punchier colours than the weekends pale bunch, but they are no less interesting.

Narcissus 'Galantoquilla Group' - just want to make another plug for this beauty, which is a good increaser. From one bulb/flower last year, there are three flowers open now with another coming and a good tuft of leaves.

Lovely, Matt. Brian's 'Snowdrop Daffodils' (Galantoquilla) really do keep the snowdrops company.
