Gladiolus fistulosus seed #1800

I have a packet of seeds from the SRGC seed exchange that looks
completely unlike any gladiolus seeds I have seen.

They are tiny. I just scraped some poppy seeds off my bagel to
compare them, and the poppy seeds are bigger.

Could these seeds really be Gladiolus fistulosus?

I wouldn't have thought so, Diane    Is there any doubt as to which number is actually written on the packet?  Sometimes handwritng leaves quite a bit to be desired and it can be  hard to tell just what the number IS meant to be, I have found 
For instance, number 1300 is digitalis seed

Hmm! so much for mytheory, then       Must just be a good going mistake, I suppose.

Diane, Your seed as described would NOT be any Gladiolus species. I say this with 120% certainty.

OK.  I'll sow it today and report  back.  Who knows how many other puzzled recipients of No. 1800 there are who will be spared uncertainty.
