I'm not often in this thread my climate doesn't allow growing Meconopsis, however i admire the photos posted here.

John your shading frame is excellent, is it a whole "house" or just a 1/2 span?

It's a full lath house at my friend's, mainly to protect from wind gusts as the garden is close to the crest of a hill.  And deer!

Here are 2 pix.  Last week and the last photo taken after a huge Rhododendron rex was moved out in 2015 I believe.

These structures are highly recommended in Nova Scotia, one can even gain an extra hardiness zone within.

Meconopsis lancifolia -sadly nothing to cross-pollinate with.

Yes the back row looks like 'Mrs Jebb' they are small and look straight at you, 90 degree angle.
